Cresta

Cresta, a 2017 Stanford AI lab spin-out, offers a generative AI platform that captures top agents' expertise, surfaces real-time insights and automates contact-centre conversations.

Cresta builds a generative AI platform for contact centres. Founded in 2017 and spun out of Stanford's AI lab, the company captures the expertise of top-performing agents, surfaces real-time insights during live calls and automates complex customer conversations. Its unified platform combines human and artificial intelligence, with the stated aim of enabling agents to perform at expert level from their first day and of scaling the skills of best performers across an entire organisation.

The work spans generative AI, natural language processing and conversation intelligence, real-time analytics and automation. Applied settings include contact centres and customer service operations in telecommunications, hospitality and financial software. Deployments include Cox Communications, Hilton and Intuit.

The company was founded by Sebastian Thrun, who created Google X and Waymo, and is led by chief executive Ping Wu, previously of Google Contact Center AI. Cresta describes a mission-driven culture focused on helping people acquire high-value skills through AI and on extending what is achievable with the technology.
