Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Excavator Operators to join our Civil Division asap. This position is essential to the success of our civil projects, including earthworks, underground utilities, and site development. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating excavators safely and efficiently in civil construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators to perform trenching, digging, sloping, grading, and material handling.
- Work with precision around underground utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure.
- Read and follow grade stakes, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to complete work on schedule.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an excavator operator in civil construction required.
- GPS experience would be an asset (Topcon or Trimble )
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, soil types, and safe digging practices.
- Ability to work around underground and overhead utilities with caution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or shift work as required.
