Roamly

Roamly is a digital-first, AI-first specialty insurance provider and Lloyd's Coverholder, founded in 2019 and spun out of Outdoorsy, an RV rental marketplace launched in 2015. The company builds coverage for RVs, motorcycles, boats and powersport or "toy" vehicles - categories tied to the modern mobility and marketplace travel economy. Its founding team are adventurers themselves who, dissatisfied with traditional insurance, built products from the ground up for people who actually use their adventure gear.

The firm's flagship RV product was the industry's first to allow RVers to rent out their vehicles when they are not in use, sold through a digital-first quote-to-bind online experience; more than $110m in coverage has been written. Motorcycle, boat and powersport coverage launched in 2024 as an expansion beyond RVs.

Technical work spans AI and insurtech, digital insurance underwriting, the quote-to-bind platform and marketplace-integrated insurance. The stated approach is digital-first and AI-first, applied to products that the incumbent market had not built.
