Orca-AI

Orca-AI builds AI-powered situational awareness systems, including the SeaPod onboard platform, for commercial shipping vessels, covering detection, risk prioritisation and autonomous navigation.

Orca-AI is a maritime technology company founded in 2018 by Yarden Gross and Dor Raviv. It builds AI-powered situational awareness systems for commercial shipping vessels, applying artificial intelligence, computer vision and sensor fusion to problems that the maritime industry has handled largely without them. The stated mission is to bring technologies proven in aviation and satellites into shipping, with a focus on safety in low visibility and congested waters.

Its principal product, SeaPod, is an onboard system combining high-resolution cameras, onboard sensors and proprietary AI algorithms. It detects marine targets, prioritises risks in real time and issues alerts in conditions where visibility is poor or traffic is dense. The company's technical work spans real-time risk prioritisation, object and marine target detection, autonomy and autonomous shipping.

The company has raised $135 million across five rounds, most recently a $73 million Series B in 2025. With NYK and the Nippon Foundation, Orca-AI powered the world's first autonomous commercial voyage in congested waters. Fleet operators using its systems include Seaspan, Sea Traders, Ionic Group and Maran Tankers.

Orca-AI is headquartered in London, with offices in Tel Aviv and Singapore. Beyond commercial shipping and maritime logistics, it works across naval defence, government and maritime security, and frames a longer-term vision of wide adoption of smart, fully autonomous ships.
