Nachhilfeunterricht

Nachhilfeunterricht operates an online marketplace that connects students with private tutors across Europe and Latin America. Founded in 2007 as a German tutoring portal, the platform now lists more than 300,000 tutors and 8,000 academies and serves over 2 million students, covering more than 350 subjects. Lessons are offered both in person and online via webcam instruction.

The technical work spans marketplace infrastructure: search and matching by subject, level and location; a built-in messaging system through which students contact tutors directly; and webcam-based online instruction. Tutor-facing self-service tools allow teachers to set their own rates and schedules, with no commission fees charged to tutors.

Subjects on the platform range across school and university levels, language learning, music and programming. The company states a mission of making personalised learning accessible to everyone and describes its growth as community-oriented, from a German tutoring site to one of Europe's larger private education platforms.
