Zen Educate is an education staffing technology company founded in 2017 that connects schools, districts and trusts directly with fully vetted teachers and support staff, bypassing traditional recruitment agencies. Operating in the United Kingdom and the United States, the firm replaces paper-based recruitment with a digital platform that matches educators to roles by proximity and skills. Schools using the platform have saved more than £50m in recruitment agency costs since 2017.

The company's all-in-one platform gives schools direct control over sourcing, with transparent pricing, and has delivered over one million hours of classroom instruction through the educators placed on it. Its technical work spans algorithm-based matching, marketplace and platform technology and digital recruitment automation.

Zen Educate raised $37m in a Series B round in 2024, the largest EdTech round in Europe that year. The company describes its mission as ensuring every student has consistent access to excellent teaching, with a stated focus on returning money to classrooms and helping educators find work and earn more than they would through traditional agencies.
