Kiefer is a Greek technology company working at the intersection of sustainable energy and advanced technology. Founded in 2014 as a renewable energy EPC contractor, it has since evolved into an AI development company, with technical work spanning artificial intelligence, robotics, physical AI systems, enterprise knowledge systems, large language models, intelligent automation and AI infrastructure. It operates across Greece, Southeast Europe and the European Union.
Two units anchor its current activity. Sophea AI is described as the first true Greek Large Language Models. Kiefer Tech is the company's technology division, tasked with building an integrated AI ecosystem and sovereign AI infrastructure for Greece, with an emphasis on keeping data within EU borders.
