Blue Rose Research builds data and AI tools for Democratic campaigns and progressive organizations. The firm combines software engineering, data science and political strategy to inform decisions for top campaigns across the United States, and reports guiding hundreds of millions of dollars of spending in modern campaigns. Its work spans machine learning, Bayesian statistics, generative AI, election forecasting, polling and survey research, and ad and message testing.
Three product lines anchor the operation. Election forecasting models are built to inform campaign decision-making. Ad testing and messaging research delivers rapid-turnaround guidance on what messaging works on key issues - where to spend, what to say and who to talk to. Generative AI news analysis tools help campaigns follow developments in the news and respond quickly with effective messages.
The team numbers more than 40 software engineers, machine learning engineers and social scientists. Much of the technical work is directed at fundamental problems in the polling industry, addressed with state-of-the-art machine learning and Bayesian statistics. The stated mission is to make high-quality research and testing widely available to the progressive community. Work is fast-paced, with rapid turnaround a routine expectation, and the firm operates in the United States.
