Summary:

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals at all times in aquatic environments. This role requires strong observation skills, quick decision-making abilities, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Lifeguard must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while enforcing pool rules and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and report any issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and pool usage.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool equipment and facilities.
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications to stay updated on safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred but not required.
