Overview -

Lifetime Activities is looking for an energetic and friendly full-time Tennis Professional at our community-based tennis center in Cupertino, California. The Tennis Professional's primary responsibility is to teach lessons to all patrons and help set the standard for high quality coaching, fun and player development. They will work with the site's Managing Director to ensure that positive coaching, safety, fun and player development are at the center of every lesson.

Requirements for Tennis Professional:

• RSPA / PTR Certified Professional & minimum 4 years experience
• A strong track record of teaching excellence (Municipal program experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to retain and attract students of all ages/abilities in group lesson settings
• A great on-court presence with an understanding of modern fundamentals and development progressions
• A team player with a friendly attitude and personality are a must
• Punctual, professional and positive with a strong work ethic
• The ability to connect to a diverse range of ages and levels
• A positive presence with a focus on safety, and customer service
• The interest and desire to help grass-roots players learn the game
• 4.0+ NTRP

NOTE: This position is required by law to submit to a consumer investigative report. Applicants are also subject to a health screening, following a conditional offer of employment. 

Responsibilities for Tennis Professional:

• Teach/lead Park & Rec. lessons, clinics and camps as required by Managing Director in accordance with positive coaching standards
• Provides beginning through advanced instruction for all ages and level players
• Lead classes and provide direction to assistant instructors
• Assist in the mentoring of new staff
• Able to run assigned programs independently
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere for all players and have a positive student focused attitude
• Help with court maintenance as needed
• Follow current health and safety guidelines
• Additional duties assigned by Managing Director such as court drying, class preparation, etc.

Pay Range:

$39-$50/hr for group lessons commensurate with experience

$64.44/hr for small-ratio lessons taught (Certified Instructor rate)

Schedule:

Full-Time, hours assigned by Managing Director; typically 35-40 hrs/week
