Temporary Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician who plays a key part in preparing materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting general repair operations. This is a temporary position for a minimum of 4 months, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing materials required for the winding process
• Insert Nomax into the stators prior to the winding crew beginning their work
• Assist with basic setup and staging of components for the winding team
• Help maintain an efficient workflow by completing pre-winding tasks promptly and accurately
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with industry standards
• Support with basic tasks such as parts washing and component cleaning
• Assist with organizing parts and keeping work areas stocked with needed materials 
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with shop cleanup, tool organization, and material storage.
• Dispose of waste materials properly and follow all safety protocols.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Work Environment

• Exposure to hazardous equipment.
• Required use of proper safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) and adherence to safety procedures.
•  Exposure to loud noises.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks.

Physical Requirements

 - Ability to lift fifty pounds. -Capability to stand for extended periods.

 - Walking, bending, kneeling

- Physical coordination is required for operating machine controls and power tools.
