Are you passionate about skateboarding and love working with people? SKATEYOGI, based in Brooklyn, NY, is looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Summer Skateboard Instructors! Whether you're a seasoned skater or just starting out, this is your chance to share your love for skateboarding while making a positive impact on others.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Summer Skateboard Instructor at SKATEYOGI, you'll be at the heart of our mission to inspire and teach skateboarding in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading engaging and interactive skateboarding lessons for individuals or groups.
  • Demonstrating proper techniques and ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
  • Setting up and breaking down ramps, boxes, and other equipment (must be able to lift objects weighing 15-35 pounds regularly).
  • Creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students of all skill levels.
  • Supporting the overall operations of the program, including assisting with events and activities.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Here’s what we’d love to see:

  • A passion for skateboarding and a desire to share that passion with others.
  • Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing 15-35 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Prior experience is a big plus, but no experience required—just a positive attitude and a love for teaching and skateboarding!
  • Available to work from 6/8-9/4.
  • Availability Note: Please indicate any planned vacations, trips, or periods of limited availability between June 1 and September 4 in your application or cover letter.
