About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Technology Services practice and play a key role in delivering infrastructure and systems solutions across our client base.

This is a hands‑on, senior engineering role where you’ll work across cloud and data‑centre infrastructure, networks, security, backup and recovery, and complex systems engineering initiatives. You’ll operate as a trusted technical expert — supporting delivery teams, mentoring others, and acting as a point of escalation for challenging technical issues.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, operate, and optimise enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments
• Deliver systems engineering activities across medium to large‑scale projects
• Configure and optimise compute, storage, networking, and security platforms
• Lead and contribute to system upgrades, implementations, and capacity planning
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues
• Act as a senior technical escalation point supporting service desk and delivery teams
• Develop and review high‑quality systems engineering documentation and artefacts
• Contribute to improving standards, processes, and engineering frameworks
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a senior engineer who brings depth, confidence, and curiosity to their work. You’ll ideally have:

• 10+ years’ experience in the IT industry, with strong systems engineering exposure
• Hands‑on experience across at least one of: Virtualisation, Networking, Storage, Enterprise systems engineering
• Strong understanding of cloud and data‑centre infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, endpoints)
• Solid knowledge of firewalls, networking, backup, and recovery concepts
• Experience working in consulting or client‑facing environments
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workloads effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry certifications are desirable but not essential.

Security & Eligibility

• Australian Citizenship is required
• AGSVA Baseline or NV1 clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
• Current police check (or willingness to obtain)
