The Secretary for Special Education helps to organize the day-to-day operations of the Special Education program. This position is highly visible and will involve greeting visitors to the District Office on a regular basis. Duties may include maintenance of confidential student records, direct contact with students, parents/guardians, District staff, and outside agencies. Frequent public contacts in person, by telephone, or email require the application of established policies and procedures, but questions are referred to higher-level authority when a procedure has not been established. This position will require a wide variety of detail-orientated clerical tasks utilizing technology.
Director of Special Education, may receive assignments from administrative personnel as required or assist with special projects as assigned by District administration.
