Long-Term Multi-Year Engagement — Ongoing Call-Ups As Needed

Standard Business Hours; On-Call Coverage Arrangements May Apply For
Specific Facilities

About the Opportunity:
We are working with Ontario government-operated institutional facilities to place CPO-registered Physiotherapists on long-term contract engagements across multiple Ontario regions. This is a meaningful opportunity for a physiotherapist who wants to do impactful work with the underserved
populations, in a structured institutional environment, with competitive compensation.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised, goal-directed treatment plans for patients in institutional settings
  • Deliver hands-on physiotherapy treatment, including exercise programming, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities
  • Document assessments, progress notes, and clinical summaries in accordance with CPO standards and facility EMR systems
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team — physicians, nurses, and support staff — to ensure continuity of care
  • Apply trauma-informed, equity-focused clinical frameworks when working with diverse and complex patient populations
  • Arrange qualified replacement coverage during planned absences and maintain all care standards

What We're Looking For
Must Have:

  • Full registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO)
  • No active or pending disciplinary proceedings with CPO
  • Experience providing care to marginalised, diverse, or at-risk populations
  • Willingness to work in a secure, structured institutional environment
  • Criminal record check required — must be clear before assignment commencement
  • Ability to provide professional liability insurance documentation
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Nice to Have:

  • Prior correctional, forensic, or institutional physiotherapy experience
  • Experience with trauma-informed care models
  • Bilingual English/French capability
  • Experience with youth populations (ages 12–17)
  • Familiarity with Ontario health legislation (PHIPA, RHPA)
