About the role
You will support the delivery of physiotherapy services through assessment, treatment, care planning, and review. The role includes both individual and group programs, with a strong focus on falls prevention, safe mobility, and functional independence.
You will work under the guidance of a Senior Physiotherapist, contributing to clinical care, exercise programs, and multidisciplinary team outcomes.
All services are delivered in line with relevant funding requirements, professional guidelines, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and MannaCare’s values and policies.
Key responsibilities
Support delivery of individual and group physiotherapy services that are client-centred and evidence-based
Assist with physiotherapy assessments, treatment plans and regular reviews
Participate in mobility and falls risk assessments and contribute to falls prevention strategies
Assist in the development and implementation of individualised mobility and exercise programs
Support post-fall reviews and ongoing management of residents with increased falls risk
Deliver strength, balance and functional mobility programs, including group sessions
Work closely with Allied Health Assistants to support exercise program delivery
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including AN-ACC requirements
Support manual handling education and safe practice within the facility
Skills And Experiences
About you
You are a new graduate or an experienced Physiotherapist with a strong interest in aged care. You are eager to learn, work collaboratively, and build your clinical skills in a supportive environment.
Essential requirements
Bachelor or Master of Physiotherapy
Current registration with AHPRA
Demonstrated interest in aged care, rehabilitation or community physiotherapy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
Current NDIS Screening Check
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
Desirable
Experience in aged care or community physiotherapy
Experience working with people living with dementia or neurological conditions
Familiarity with AN-ACC
