About the mahi (role)
This vacancy has arisen due to internal movement across the motu.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our Hawke's Bay team, and we are open to all levels of experience including new graduates.
You will be a key member of our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, delivering community-based services under ACC contracts (Training for Independence, Hospital and Community Services, Concussion) as well as private rest home and in-home rehabilitation. You will work towards achievable KPIs that reflect quality care and ongoing professional growth.
The role will include:
- Deliver patient education, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, in the community settings to a mixture of cases such as MSK, concussion, pain, neurological and acute and chronic care.
- Liaise with external partners such as specialists, GPs, rest home staff and ACC to support client rehabilitation
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced interdisciplinary team
- Maintain high standards of client care while meeting service KPIs
This role reports to the Hawke's Bay Clinic Manager and be supported by the Hawke's Bay clinical lead. The successful candidate will be an integral part of both the Hawke's Bay team and the National Hospital and Community Rehabilitation Team.

Skills And Experiences
About You
We’re looking for a team player who shares our values and is committed to achieving positive outcomes for our clients. Substantial orientation and training will be provided to support your success in the role.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- A strong interest in community-based rehabilitation
- Experience in musculoskeletal, concussion, or neurological conditions
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A commitment to clinical excellence and professional development
- A current Annual Practising Certificate to work in New Zealand
- Membership with a relevant professional body and current indemnity insurance
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy
About the team
You’ll be working alongside a highly experienced and collaborative team that includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Hand Therapist, Psychologists, a Clinical Pharmacist, a Neuropsychologist, visiting Medical Specialists, and an excellent administrative team. We operate across two locations: our Hastings and Napier clinics, including our newly opened site in the Napier CBD.
