Paramedic (A3/P1)

Cy-Fair FD is accepting applications for full time Paramedics.  

You must complete an application, Pre-Employment Medical Screening and Consumer Report Form. 

Required: Items 4-7 must be submitted through the online application to be considered a complete application. 

1. Minimum 18 years of age
2. Valid Texas driver’s license
3. High school diploma or equivalent
4. Paramedic Certification (current or able to obtain prior to start date (graduating paramedic students))
   • Must provide a letter of support and acknowledgement from program instructor attesting to the completion date time.
5. Current CPR Certification
6. Current ACLS Certification
7. Proof of Completion - NIMS Certification – ICS100, ICS200, ICS700 & ICS800
8. Not listed on any state or federal OIG exclusion list.
9. Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Successful completion of the Cy-Fair Fire Department pre-hire screen process.

 Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of EMS certification requirements
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Strong team building, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Able to work well without supervision
• Able to handle sudden changes in work conditions and assignments
• Working knowledge of emergency operations management and tactics
• Experience with electronic based patient care reports
