Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, document and test copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a), single-mode (SMF) and multi-mode (MMF) fiber optic cables (OM4/OM5) per TIA-568.2-D /568.3-E standards.
  • Label, organize, and maintain cable pathways, racks, and patch panels according to industry standards. Route and secure cabling through conduits, trays, j-hooks and racks to ensure proper separation from pre-existing electrical lines
  • Perform network troubleshooting for physical (Layer 1) connectivity issues.
  • Support the installation and relocation of wireless access points, IP phones, surveillance systems, access control systems and other IP-based connected devices.
  • Assist with data center and network closet maintenance, including patching, cable management, labeling, rack dressing and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all TIA/EIA and BICSI installation standards.
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of cable layouts, testing results, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Follow all safety protocols (NFPA 70E) and property standards when working in guest or back-of-house areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree Preferred.
• 2+ years of Field Service, Low-Voltage/Structured Cabling or IT Networking Support roles
• BICSI Installer 2 (INSTC/INSTF) Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of structured cabling systems, wiring standards, and cable color codes.
• Proficiency in using cable testing tools (Fluke, OTDR, NetAlly etc.)
• Familiarity with fiber termination and fusion splicing processes.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (switches, routers, VLANs, PoE).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Customer-focused with a professional, service-oriented attitude.
• Extreme professionalism necessary when working in guest-facing or executive environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or heights.
• Comfortable with extended periods of standing, bending, crawling or climbing ladders. Work may also occur in confined spaces, ceilings and outdoor areas.
• Flexible working evenings, weekends, or holidays as operational needs require. Adaptability to changing project schedules or urgent requests necessary.
