Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC‑related systems. You will perform both reactive and preventive maintenance to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.

This position is ideal for a multi‑craft technician who can work independently, solve problems quickly, and support a fast‑paced plant operation.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding, cutting, and brazing as needed for repairs.
  • Use electrical and electronic testing equipment to diagnose issues.
  • Install, maintain, and adjust equipment to support manufacturing operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC‑related issues on production equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
  • Operate standard maintenance tools, including drill presses, grinders, saws, hydraulic presses, and related shop equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all required safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced maintenance team members when needed.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to diagnose issues independently and make sound repair decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment with required PPE.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Experience with basic PLC functions (troubleshooting, not programming)
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools or techniques.
  • Experience supporting high‑volume or automated production equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and standard plant conditions.
  • Required PPE includes safety‑toe footwear, hearing protection, and eye protection.
