Description

The University of Maine at Presque Isle invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. Reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation, this 12-month, full-time role is responsible for all aspects of leading a competitive NCAA Division III program. 

In addition to coaching, the successful candidate will serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor, providing vital mentorship to student-leaders and essential support to the broader Athletics Department. We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered professional dedicated to excellence in recruitment, retention, academic success, and the holistic development of student-athletes, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

The salary for this full time on campus position is $47,000.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching men’s soccer.
  • Excellent communication, managerial, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel extensively for athletic contests.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University’s Motor Pool driving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous coaching experience at the NCAA level.
  • Experience in a collegiate playing environment.
  • Familiarity with NCAA Division III rules, standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience working with student-athletes in an academic or advisory setting.
