Reinhardt University is currently accepting applications for a Head Baseball Coach for the Athletics Department.   

Position Summary: 

The Head Baseball coach is responsible for maintaining a positive and engaging culture that allows growth within the student athlete experience. This coach must be able to work long and flexible hours in a very competitive environment. Having the ability to adjust and handle ever changing events within a program is important to having long term success.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: 

 

  • Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree- A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a High School Head Coach or as a Collegiate Head/Assistant Coach. 

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

  • Directly reports to the Executive Director of Athletics.
  • Primary responsibilities are coaching and teaching baseball skills.
  • Responsible for the supervision and hiring of their respective staff.
  • Prepares and maintains budget.
  • Prepares inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Reports on the needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to the Executive Director of Athletics
  • Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops, etc. (This is required)
  • Organizes and conducts constructive practice sessions.
  • Works with the Executive Director of  Athletics on scheduling games.
  • Retention and recruiting of student athletes to meet scholarship and roster goals
  • Ability to fundraise and help the program grow

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Abides by the NAIA rules. Must be able to help prepare students to remain eligible and graduate.
  • Ability to recruit and retain student athletes.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft and current technology needs to be used within the team aspect

 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements of the Job:  

 

  • Develop a work schedule (office hours) that makes him/her accessible to the student athletes and other schools.
  • Responsible for other details or any other assignment by the Executive Director of Athletics.
