We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer with forklift experience to support daily operations in a fast-paced steel/metal facility. This role involves material handling, assisting with production, and safely operating heavy-duty forklifts in a hot, outdoor and indoor industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (including 15K–25K capacity) to move steel pipes, beams, and metal materials
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently
- Assist with general labor duties such as sorting, stacking, and staging steel products
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment (heat, dust, and outdoor conditions)
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies (PPE required at all times)
- Support warehouse and production teams to meet daily output goals
- Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a steel yard, metal warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
- Forklift operating experience required (experience with large capacity forklifts is a plus)
- Ability to work in extreme heat and physically demanding conditions
- Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform repetitive manual labor
