A well-established manufacturer of underground mining equipment is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of heavy-duty mining machinery, ensuring all systems are assembled accurately and meet quality and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum requirements:
  • Trade Test: Fitter
  • 5 Years’ experience in heavy engineering or mining equipment manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience assembling heavy components and mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of workshop safety standards and procedures
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Valid drivers license will be advantageous
