The Fitter & Turner / Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components and machinery within the production environment. The successful candidate will ensure machinery operates efficiently to support continuous production.
Requirements
- Must have valid driver's license and vehicle
- 2+ Year experience in maintaining a manufacturing plant with experience in:
- Fitting
- Turning
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Welding
- Hydraulic
- Pneumatic
- Qualification an advantage but experience is a must
- Candidate needs to have a clear criminal record and sober habits
- Willing to work overtime and call outs
Key Responsibilities
Machining & Fabrication
- Operate lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment to manufacture components.
- Manufacture or repair machine parts, shafts, bushes, and mechanical components.
- Ensure all machined parts meet required tolerances and specifications.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform maintenance and repairs on production machinery.
- Assist with machine breakdowns and fault diagnosis.
- Replace or repair damaged mechanical parts.
Production Support
- Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
- Assist in improving machine performance and efficiency.
- Ensure machinery is maintained to operational and safety standards.
Health & Safety
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure correct use of tools, machinery, and PPE.
