SIMPEC have been awarded the main procurement and construction contract for the Residue Filtration Building - Stage 2 (RF2) at Alcoa's Pinjarra Alumina Refinery, which will involve delivering infrastructure and services to increase processing capacity.

The Role:

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team to oversee and facilitate day to day engineering support and to ensure work is completed in accordance with relevant engineering drawings, isometrics, standards and specifications.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical works.

Roster: Monday – Friday (Some Saturdays may be required).

Full-time position DIDO daily, with a project duration of 12 months, and the opportunity to transfer to other projects thereafter.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role in Mining Construction – involving electrical and instrumentation installation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering governing standards in Mining Construction particularly Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant electrical safety standards, such as AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules).
  • Construction Card.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • Experienced in managing, raising, and responding to RFI’s and TQ’s.
  • Good understanding of Mining Processing and equipment.
  • Contractor side experience in E&I construction projects.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure.
