Parkland CLASS is looking for a casual LPN who is available to care duties for a 3-year-old boy who is palliative.
The Company:
Parkland C.L.A.S.S. is a family-based organization, focused on increasing the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities through individual choice, dignity and rights since 1963. We support over 350 Individuals in Central Alberta.
The Position:
Care is provided in the foster family’s home and limited access to home will be available (bathroom/child's bedroom).
Child resides in Rocky Mountain House. Hours are casual due to the child being medically fragile and spending time in the Hospital.
Must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, bathing, feeding, lifting <22 lbs, medication administration, personal hygiene, toileting support, bi pap, oxygen, cough assist, oral/nasal suctioning, and g tube feeds. Must be comfortable working with a toddler that has unpredictable breathing. Experience with Indigenous Culture would be an asset.
Hours of work: Ideally hours would be worked during the day around the needs of the family.
Hourly Wage: $30.75-$32.64
