Building Technician (Full‑Time) – DoubleTree New Orleans Airport

DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport is hiring a full‑time Building Technician (formal title: Building Engineer). This role helps keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and fully operational for our guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, laundry equipment, and pool systems
• Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas
• Respond to work orders and use Quore daily
• Maintain hotel grounds and building exterior
• Keep maintenance shop clean, organized, and secure
• Assist guests and team members professionally and courteously
• Report safety hazards or emergencies to management
• Support hotel security and follow all policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Mechanical/maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
• Able to lift 60 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work indoors/outdoors
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable, professional, and team‑oriented
