Job Description
The position is full-time, benefit eligible position and reports to the Head Soccer Coach and Director of Athletics. The person in this position will assist with all aspects of running a competitive women’s soccer program, including but not limited to: identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development, scouting, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, and other duties as assigned. The selected candidate will also assist in organizing and running soccer camps. The applicant must demonstrate leadership, recruiting and coaching skills, and knowledge of and adherence to compliance of all NCAA applicable procedures, rules, and regulations. The successful applicant will have demonstrated successful soccer playing and/or coaching experience.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must have significant knowledge of and demonstrated success in coaching soccer, recruitment of student-athletes, and strong motivation, organizational and communication skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the environment of a Christian higher education institution and abide by all NCAA DII, Northern Sun Conference and University policies.
A bachelor’s degree is required; with coaching experience or a combination of playing and coaching experience. An understanding of the mission of USF, a strong professional work ethic and a commitment to the academic success of students is required. Travel is necessary with a valid driver’s license, the ability to successfully pass a background check and lift up to 40 lbs. is required. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
