We are on the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Casual Pool Lifeguard to join our team at the Greg Cruickshank Aquatic Centre. In this vital role, you'll work closely with the Team Leader - Moranbah Pool to ensure all patrons have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. You’ll join a team of responsible, approachable, confident swimmers in supervising the pool and surrounding areas. Together, you’ll uphold the highest standards of care and safety to make sure our swimmers have fun, stay active and gain confidence in the water. Primary duties will include pool supervision, lifesaving, identifying and reducing risk and administering first aid.

About you: 

  1. Demonstrated experience in customer service and a full understanding of excellent customer service.
  2. Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the effective operation of a pool complex.
  3. The ability to provide adequate supervision of aquatic facilities to ensure safety of all facility users
  4. Demonstrated ability to work both under minimal supervision, and as a team player.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, including the ability to communicate and consult.
  6. Current certification in:
    • First Aid and CPR
    • Lifeguard
    • Working with Children Blue Card
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours as required (Ability to be rostered on anytime between the hours of 6:00am - 8:00pm), incorporating weekends and public holidays.
For this position we offer: 
  • $41.26 per hour
  • Fixed term Casual role until 31 August 2026.
  • Location - Moranbah
