Virtasant is a cloud services firm founded in 2007 that works with enterprises on cloud cost optimization, migration, managed cloud operations and cloud-native application development. It operates as a global network of more than 4,000 technology professionals spread across over 130 countries, working fully remotely. The company is an AWS Advanced Services Partner and works across the AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure ecosystems.

Central to its work is a proprietary automation platform, used alongside its engineers to help clients reduce cloud waste, improve performance and manage cloud finances on a sustained basis. The firm reports managing some 55,000 cloud accounts and over 600 million lines of code, with average savings on client cloud spend exceeding 50%. Its teams have migrated hundreds of applications and built or re-platformed more than 200.

Virtasant uses an outcome-based business model, aligning its compensation with client results rather than with billable hours or software licences. Staff work within a fully-distributed team, with roles spanning cloud engineering, automation and financial management across three major public clouds.
