Sporty Group

Sporty Group builds and operates consumer entertainment platforms for sports fans in emerging markets. Founded in 2013, the company employs more than 700 people across more than 10 countries on three continents, and its products reach millions of daily users. Its interests span digital and linear sports broadcasting, fintech, sports betting technology, gaming and entertainment technology.

Its flagship properties include SportyTV, Africa's leading free-to-air sports broadcaster, with rights to the Premier League, LaLiga, the Bundesliga and the Olympic Games; SportyBet, a sports betting platform; and Sporty.com, a sports app. The group also runs Sporty Studios, its creative content hub, and football.com, among other ventures.

On the engineering side, the company works on consumer internet platforms, media and content production, and modern greenfield platform architecture. Its technology stack was built from scratch three years ago, without legacy constraints. The workforce is remote-first and globally distributed.
