Newell Brands Inc. is a global consumer products company that designs, manufactures and markets a portfolio of more than 50 household brands. Founded in 1903 in Upstate New York, where it began in metal manufacturing with curtain rods, the company employs approximately 24,000 people and sells products used by households in over 100 countries. It operates through three operating segments.

The portfolio has been assembled largely through acquisition and spans several categories. Writing instruments include Sharpie (acquired 1992), Paper Mate, Parker and Waterman (all 2000). Home and storage products are represented by Rubbermaid (1999), and baby gear by Graco (1999). The 2016 acquisitions added Coleman in outdoor recreation, Yankee Candle in home fragrance and Mr. Coffee in home appliances.
