The company was founded in 1981 by Steve Lanter as Lanter Courier Corporation, and traces its roots to a family-run milk delivery service of the 1950s. It employs approximately 5,000 people and reports on-time performance of more than 98%.

The network comprises over 90 facilities serving more than 12,000 delivery locations daily, supported by 1,500 final mile routes. The company processes over 300,000 barcode scans per day through its technology-enabled business process platform, with technical work spanning shipment tracking, route optimisation and final mile routing.
