International SOS Government Medical Services is the government-facing arm of International SOS, a health and security risk services company founded in 1985. The firm protects global workforces through medical, security, logistics and digital support, providing medical evacuation, travel risk management, workplace health solutions and crisis response. Its stated purpose is to help organisations meet Duty of Care obligations and maintain business continuity during incidents.

The operation is large and continuous. Nearly 13,000 security, medical, logistics and digital experts work from more than 1,200 locations in 90 countries, supported by 28 Assistance Centers and a network of 89,000 on-the-ground providers across security, healthcare and aviation. Support runs 24 hours a day in over 110 languages and dialects, handling more than 8,000 assistance calls daily; the company reports having conducted more than 1,700 security and medical evacuations.

International SOS serves over 9,000 clients worldwide, including the majority of Fortune Global 500 companies. Its work spans the corporate, government, education, NGO, healthcare, security, aviation and insurance sectors.
