gaiia
gaiia builds an AI-driven, cloud-based operating system for ISPs and CSPs that replaces legacy OSS/BSS platforms across billing, operations, customer management and network monitoring.
gaiia is a software company building what it describes as the first AI-driven operating system for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Communications Service Providers (CSPs). Its cloud-based platform is designed to replace legacy OSS/BSS systems, unifying billing, operations, automation, customer management, inventory fulfilment, network monitoring, workforce scheduling and reporting within a single product. The company operates in North America and Latin America.
The company has raised $13m in seed funding and is backed by Y Combinator and Kima Ventures, along with angel investors who were previously involved with oxio. The founders are telecommunications industry veterans; their prior company, oxio, was sold to Cogeco in a transaction valued at $100m. gaiia states its goal of becoming a network-agnostic operating system for connectivity providers.
Technical work at the company spans AI and machine learning, cloud-based software platforms, OSS/BSS systems, billing and operations automation, network monitoring, workforce scheduling and resource management, reporting and analytics, customer management systems and inventory fulfilment. The target market is telecommunications and broadband providers seeking to modernise the operational software that underpins their business.
