AlphaSense operates an AI-powered market intelligence platform that lets professionals search and extract insights from large volumes of business documents, with the stated aim of compressing research that once took days into seconds. Founded in 2011 by Jack Kokko, a former investment banker, the company now employs more than 2,000 people and serves over 6,500 enterprise clients, among them a majority of the S&P 500. Its content library holds upwards of 500m documents, spanning expert transcripts, broker research, company filings and regulatory sources.

The flagship AlphaSense Platform combines premium business content, proprietary AI and intelligent workflows. Several acquired products extend its coverage: Tegus supplies an expert network and expert transcripts; BamSEC covers company filings and SEC data; Canalyst provides financial data and models; and Sentieo, an AI-driven financial research and document search platform, added purpose-built generative AI capabilities. The technology stack spans artificial intelligence, generative AI, natural language processing and intelligent search, enterprise document analytics, and expert networks and data curation.

Customers are concentrated in financial services, investment banking, investment research and asset management, as well as corporate strategy and market research functions. AlphaSense is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in Helsinki, London, Pune and Singapore, among other locations.
