We invite applications from creative and enthusiastic Wood Technicians to join Nazareth College in a fixed term, part time position (0.4 - 0.6 FTE), commencing Term 2, 2026.

The ideal candidates will be committed to supporting the Wood Teacher in the classroom, maintain and prepare teaching resources including tools, machinery, and matertials, to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes student growth, and a love for learning.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Trade qualified Timber Joiner, Cabinet Maker or Carpenter, or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience building custom joinery in a workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of timber construction and assembly techniques
  • Ability to work from drawings and produce components to specification
  • Confident operating tools and machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work with students and team environment
  • Adhere to safety standards and perform regular maintenance on tools and machinery
  • First aid: Current First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to attain)
  • Working Wihth Children's Check (or be willing to attain)
  • National Police Check (or be willing to attain)
  • Driver’s Licence
  • Provide evidence of the right to live and work in Australia
  • A willingness to support the Catholic identity of the College is essential.
  • A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children.
