Job Summary
Hamilton High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volleyball Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will work closely with the head coach to develop athletes' skills, promote teamwork, and foster a positive and competitive environment. This seasonal position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about volleyball and youth sports.

Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices, drills, and conditioning sessions.
- Support the development of individual and team skills, including technique, strategy, and sportsmanship.
- Help organize and manage game day operations, including warm-ups, substitutions, and post-game analysis.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to athletes to enhance their performance and confidence.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the volleyball program.
- Collaborate with the head coach to develop game strategies and prepare for opponents.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and commitment.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
- Attend all practices, games, and team meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and state athletic policies and regulations.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience or extensive knowledge of volleyball is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletes, and other staff members.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
- Availability to commit to the entire season, including evenings and weekends for practices and games.
- A background check will be required prior to hiring.
- A passion for teaching the sport and a commitment to the personal and athletic development of student-athletes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college-level experience in athletics is a plus.

- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check per School Board policy.
