Lloydminster Co-op Propane Department is currently seeking a Truck Transport Mechanic for its busy operation.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Review work orders and discuss with Propane Manager.
Maintain parts inventory.
Use computerized equipment and other tools to identify problems with engines, brakes, etc.
Fix issues by adjusting, repairing or replacing worn out or faulty components and parts.
Perform scheduled services such as oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotations.
Road test vehicles and test repaired systems to ensure they meet performance specifications.
Make sure tools and equipment are working well.
Build and rebuild propane dispensers.
Perform repairs to propane pumping and metering systems.
Properly disposed of used oil, radiator fluid, worn out parts and other components.
Document all work performed.
Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
Strong understanding of heavy truck systems
Working knowledge of pumps, pressure controls
Basic understanding of trucking industry
Ability to prioritize work and adjust to changes throughout the workday
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
Ability to lift heavy parts
Attention to detail for accurate diagnosis, repair and record keeping
Education and Experience:
Truck Transport Mechanic – Papered / Non-Papered
First Aid/CPR certification
H2S certification
Valid driver’s license
