POSITION SUMMARY
Tennis Attendant
Responsible for maintaining "The Courts Tennis Center" to standard, and assists the tennis professional with scheduling the tennis courts, helping on the courts and keeping a clean and safe environment all around the tennis center.
Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities, activities, lessons, and equipment. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude. Register and schedule guests for activities by recording information using the appropriate method. Encourage and recruit guests to participate in recreation activities. Process payments for lessons, rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales by applying charges to guest rooms or handling cash and credit card payments using appropriate system. Running events like Tournaments, Corporate league and other programs/activities.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
• Excellent guest service skills, organizational skills, and excellent communication verbal skills are required. (English required)
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have the ability to keep accurate records.
• Must be available to maintain flexible schedule and able to work in all types of weather, outside.
• Must have previous retail and/or cashier experience
Schedule individual and group tennis lessons and clinics. Make tennis court reservations by writing in guest name on schedule. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities, activities, lessons, and equipment. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude. Arrange tennis matches for guests without partners. Register and schedule guests for activities by recording information using the appropriate method. Encourage and recruit guests to participate in recreation activities. Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales by applying charges to guest rooms or handling cash and credit card payments using appropriate system.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 35 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: CPR Certification
First Aid Certification
Recreation and Fitness Equipment
Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
