The City of Lancaster is looking for energetic, dependable, and service-minded individuals to join our team as Summer Lifeguards. In this role, you will help maintain a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment by enforcing pool rules, identifying hazards, responding to emergencies, administering first aid and CPR when needed, and supporting daily pool operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enforce all pool rules and regulations in a consistent manner
Identify potential accident hazards and unsafe conditions
Respond quickly, intelligently, and decisively in emergencies
Perform rescues and provide first aid and CPR as required
Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and locker rooms
Monitor and record chemical levels
Complete required reports and documentation
Attend and participate in all in-service trainings
Assist with recreation programs and special events hosted by the City
Provide excellent customer service with a positive and professional attitude
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Verifiable experience in extracurricular activities at school and/or community setting. Prior work experience is not a requirement.
