JOB TITLE: Senior Quality Engineer
SALARY: £70,929 - £78,810
LOCATIONS: Bristol
HOURS: Full time - 35 hours
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Bristol office site

Here's where you’ll make a difference as a Senior Quality Engineer in Advisor Waterfront:
Design and build diligent, maintainable, and modular automation test suites for a website used by financial advisers to manage and service client policies.
Complete exploratory functional and accessibility testing alongside automated testing.
Develop and extend frameworks, templates, and guidelines for developing test scripts.
Write detailed Test Plans and End of Test Reports, evidencing the quality of the software we ship.
Understand and write the test data requirements, collaborating closely with the external teams across the Value Stream and beyond.
Act as mentor to junior Engineers, encouraging our culture of collaboration and openness to thrive.

What you’ll need
Strong background using automated testing tools, such as Appium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, Perfecto, Selenium, Playwright
Good Quality Engineering and test management experience across the full test lifecycle
An understanding of the importance of testing and quality, and the ability to support and guide other Quality Engineers
Ability to work closely with Quality Engineers and software engineers to embed quality into delivery
Strong understanding of development best practices, and how to apply them to improve testability, quality, and reliability
An excellent understanding of programming principles and standard methodology, particularly when applied to building maintainable and reliable automated test suites
Comfortable participating in and facilitating workshops
Enjoy reviewing colleagues’ work and providing feedback to others in a constructive and positive way
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging with business partners
Experience running automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines
Motivated to work with modern Agile practices
Our current automation is written in C#, but we’re more interested in your approach to test design and quality than any specific language or framework
