Senior Project Engineer – Civil

Acciona is a global leader in the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, creating long-term value for communities. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of key civil packages, including earthworks, stormwater, and pavement construction, on a major infrastructure project.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for civil works delivery, providing technical leadership, driving program outcomes, and mentoring junior engineers. This is a hands-on role requiring strong construction and stakeholder management capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil construction packages including earthworks, stormwater drainage, and pavement
- Plan and sequence works to achieve program, cost, and quality targets
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting, and progress reporting
- Review and manage construction methodologies and temporary works
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental requirements
- Oversee QA documentation, ITPs, and as-built records
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues
- Support and mentor Site Engineers and junior staff
Required Skills and Competencies
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Senior or Project Engineer on large-scale civil infrastructure projects
- Strong experience delivering earthworks, stormwater, and pavement construction
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, specifications, and standards
- Commercially astute with strong cost forecasting and program management skills
- Confident communicator with demonstrated leadership capability
- White Card (essential)
