About the role:

Our Sydney office is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide leadership and project delivery expertise. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of key projects, both locally and on a national level and providing project leadership and strategic support

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven engineering leadership and hold a CPEng qualification. Experience working on key healthcare or defence projects is preferred and will be highly regarded.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Representing ACOR with existing and new clients to help develop the business
•  Attracting new clients to ACOR
•  Increasing ACOR capability
•  Managing a team including leading and mentoring staff
•  Continuous staff training and development of the team
•  Providing general project oversight and advice to staff working on projects
•  Maintaining quality control procedures
•  Consistently achieving reasonable monthly budget targets
•  Preparing fee proposals and then tracking, time and budget to invoicing and cash flow are appropriately managed
•  Seeking and developing new business opportunities
•  Assisting in the development of delivery strategies to develop and expand markets

 Skills and experience:

• University engineering degree or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia
• Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
• Site induction training card (white card)
• Previous experience within an engineering consultancy or equivalent
• Strong business development skills
• High level of project management and technical ability across within the electrical discipline
• Highly developed engineering and assessment skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
