Requirements
- 21 years old or older with a minimum of 4 years of lifeguarding experience or 20 years old with 5 years of experience.
- Active life saving card
- Active CPR and AED training / certified
Preferred
- A pool operator’s license from Illinois Department of Public Health and a working knowledge of chemical regulators and filtration systems.
Description:
The Pool Director shall be responsible for training, review and guidance to the lifeguards on techniques of lifesaving, procedure to be followed for emergencies, discipline, etc., necessary for a safe and efficient environment and operation. It shall be the responsibility of the Pool Director to coordinate opportunities for swim lessons to those who desire them between the staff and patrons.
Schedule:
The Pool Director normal work schedule will begin in mid-April with assessing the pool staff (returning veterans and new hires), about 10 Hours per week. The pool will be filled during the first week of May. From May 1 to the opening of the pool the Pool Director shall be there about 10- 15 hours per week. As the pool is open “full-time”, the Director should be there about 20 - 30 hours per week.
Wages:
Starting wage $22 - 30 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
