Introduction

Home Health Care is a service offered by The Aga Khan University Hospital in the comfort of patient’s own home. Qualified physicians, skilled nurses, trained nurse technicians, physiotherapists and health care assistants equipped with portable medical equipment provide compassionate care and treatment that meets individual patient needs. 

Home Health Care can be considered for people who are elderly, have a long-term illness, are living with an incurable disease, recovering from surgery, have special needs, are confined to their beds or need palliative care.

Responsibilities\:

You will be responsible to provide physiotherapy services at patient’s residence in line with the institutional polices, protocol and values.

Specifically, you will be responsible to;

• assess the patients, develop and deliver the individual Physiotherapy treatment program.
• formulate treatment / exercise plans for patients enabling them to achieve treatment goals
• documenting patient assessment and progress notes according to the SOAP format
• educate and advise patients and their family about how to prevent and / or improve condition
• responsible for the safe and competent use of Physiotherapy equipment and patient used appliances and aides
• keep up to date with the relevant new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.

Requirements:

  You should have:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy /a Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from a recognized institute
• traineeship in a medium / large hospital or preferably one year experience in a similar capacity
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• willingness to work in shift duties.
