We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to assist with repairing and maintaining products delivered to the Service Centre and in Customer operations.
Offering a family friendly Monday to Friday roster and much more:
Monday - Thursday 6am - 2.30pm
Friday 5am - 11am
Overtime available through the week
All uniforms, tools and PPE provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Stripping, maintaining, repairing and reporting on customer pumps both in the Townsville Service Centre and occasionally at customer operations
Providing informed recommendations to enhance product performance, service quality and workshop processes
Playing an active role in implementing the Weir Production System within the Rebuild Centre
Supporting mine shutdowns by attending customer sites when required
What you'll bring
Cert III – Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning
Experience in mechanical fitting in a workshop and onsite environments
Experience leading and mentoring a team of fitters
Well developed written and verbal communication skills
High Risk Fork lift ticket - required
Overhead crane & doggers ticket - highly desirable
Current Drivers License
