About the role
ORS has recently acquired a Mechanical & Electrical consultancy and are looking to expand and grow the team. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the newly integrated team.
This challenging and rewarding position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be based in the Munster/ Limerick region with the local office based in Limerick.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed Mechanical systems with Mechanical calculations, schedules, specifications and technical documentation.
- Producing drawings and layouts in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
- Coordinating designs with electrical engineers and other disciplines.
- Assisting with site inspections, surveys, and responding to contractor queries during construction.
- Supporting project delivery tasks such as document control, tender packs and design reviews
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with ISO standards, ensuring up to date records for electrical designs.
Essential Requirements
- Possess a relevant 3rd level qualification in Building Services Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrate 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing a track record of successful projects.
- Results-driven with excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience in technical submittals, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communicator with good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.
