Duties & Responsibilities

Design Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineer HVAC & R (Manufacturer and Distributor)

Company focuses on the design, manufacture, import and distribution of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning equipment, solutions and Products.

Qualification:
  • Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Engineer qualification (BTech, BScEng, or BEng).
  • 1 to 3 years of work experience in the HVAC&R industry.
Skills Required:
  • Computer programming (VBA) experience will be advantageous.
  • SolidWorks and AutoCAD design and drawings.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the refrigeration process.
  • System integration (compressors, heat exchangers, control valves, and other line items)
  • Heat load calculations from first principles.
  • High Proficiency in MS EXCEL.
Responsibilities: 
  • Electronic control setup and programming for refrigeration
  • Troubleshooting of refrigeration plants – must be willing to travel and be available to assist refrigeration
    contractors after hours over the phone and on-site
  • Technical presentations to clients.
  • Provide technical and product support to clients.
  • Design and quoting of refrigeration.
  • Equipment design for refrigeration (Freon & CO2).
  • Long-term development of refrigeration equipment with special attention to energy efficiency.
  • Computer modelling to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Job costing and control.
  • Generation of brochures & catalogues.
